Which Medicare insurance plan is right for me?

This is a question only you can answer after you have carefully reviewed all the information.

medicare parts a and bMedicare Part A: You are automatically enrolled in Medicare Part A hospital insurance when you turn age 65. Usually there is no cost for this benefit.

Medicare Part B: Medicare Part B covers physician and outpatient hospital services. There is a premium for this benefit. Most people must elect Part B.

If you want additional coverage, here are some of the questions you will need to answer to help you make the right Medicare decision:

  • Am I willing to pay a higher premium for lower out of pocket expenses?
  • Do I mind referrals?
  • Do I want to select my own drug card?
  • Do I mind a plan where I have to use a network?
  • Do I regularly travel outside my home area?
  • Do I want a plan that keeps the same benefits year in and year out?
